Renowned comic book artist Rob Liefeld, co-creator of Deadpool, has revealed his decision to step away from future projects involving the character. Liefeld, known for his work on Deadpool and Cable, has been a prominent figure in the comic book industry for the past four decades. His collaboration with Ryan Reynolds on three movies has further solidified his legacy.
Initially introduced as a villain in “The New Mutants,” Deadpool’s popularity soared, leading to his integration into the Marvel universe.
“I’m outta the Deadpool business. Officially. Yes, Deadpool and 33 years worth of me drawing him and chronicling so many of his most memorable adventures comes to an end. Papa Deadpool says goodbye.”
In his announcement, Liefeld expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support over the past 33 years and hinted at forthcoming details regarding his departure from the character.
