Ukraine’s air force has reported that it launched an attack on a Russian navy ship at a base in Russian-occupied Crimea. Kyiv alleges that the ship was carrying drones to be used in Moscow’s war.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence and officials have confirmed the Ukrainian attack that took place overnight, as reported by the Interfax news agency. The ministry stated that the ship was “damaged” after Ukraine used guided missiles launched by aircraft against the vessel in the Crimean port city of Feodosia.
According to Sergey Aksyonov, the Moscow-appointed governor of Crimea, one person was killed and two were injured in the attack. Aksyonov also mentioned that six buildings were damaged and their residents were evacuated.
The Ukrainian Air Force stated, “People say that it [the Novocherkassk] transported Shaheds,” referring to Iranian explosive drones that Russia has regularly used to attack Ukraine.
Ukrainian commander Mykola Oleshchuk also shared a video showing an explosion at the Russian naval base in Feodosia.
