Russia has vehemently denied any involvement in the recent incident where several coffins mysteriously appeared at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Russian embassy in France issued a statement expressing strong opposition to what they called a “Russophobic campaign” in the French media, which they believe is jeopardizing the safety of Russian citizens. This denial comes amidst ongoing accusations that Russia is trying to sway public opinion as Western nations consider supporting Ukraine against Russia’s aggression.
According to the embassy, Russia has never meddled in France’s internal affairs and has more pressing matters to attend to.
Three individuals, including a Bulgarian, a Ukrainian, and a German, were apprehended after depositing five coffins draped in the French flag with the words “French soldiers of Ukraine” at the iconic landmark. They claimed they were paid to carry out the stunt.
French authorities suspect that the incident may be linked to President Emmanuel Macron’s proposal to assist Ukraine with military personnel or weapons, prompting speculation that Russia orchestrated the display as a response.
French media coverage of the event has highlighted previous instances where Russian agents were allegedly involved in influencing public opinion, such as the appearance of Star of David paintings in Paris following the Gaza conflict and the defacement of a Holocaust memorial with red hands.

Reports suggest that Russian operatives have used social media manipulation tactics to sow discord and confusion, particularly regarding sensitive issues like anti-Semitism.
Individuals arrested for similar acts have claimed to have received instructions from contacts in Russia, further fueling suspicions of Russian involvement in these incidents.
