The charitable foundation “Russia Sitting” has been deemed undesirable in Russia by the Prosecutor General’s Office. The foundation is accused of regularly sharing news that portrays Russia in a negative light and attempting to distort historical facts. The German branch of the Russland hinter gittern foundation has also been labeled as ”undesirable” by the authorities.
Established as a non-governmental organization, Russia Sitting aims to offer legal and humanitarian support to individuals who have experienced rights violations at the hands of investigative agencies and the prison system.
