Roskomnadzor Seeks Justice: 45 “Foreign Agents” Under Investigation for Repeatedly Flouting Labeling Rules, Leading to 25 Criminal Cases

Roskomnadzor has⁤ handed over ‍details of 45 “foreign agents” to the Investigative Committee of Russia for allegedly breaching labeling ⁣regulations.⁢ Out of these,⁣ 25 ​are facing criminal charges as per the latest update ⁣from the Roskomnadzor press service, reported by TASS.

Furthermore, in the⁢ year 2024, Roskomnadzor ⁢documented 180 cases ⁣of non-compliance with⁤ labeling requirements by “foreign agents.” The courts have imposed fines exceeding⁤ 7.1 million ‌rubles based on these violations.

Earlier in March, Evgeny ‌Zaitsev, the head of Roskomnadzor’s control and‍ supervision​ department for⁤ electronic communications, revealed that 13 individuals with this designation are currently under criminal investigation.
