Roskomnadzor has handed over details of 45 “foreign agents” to the Investigative Committee of Russia for allegedly breaching labeling regulations. Out of these, 25 are facing criminal charges as per the latest update from the Roskomnadzor press service, reported by TASS.
Furthermore, in the year 2024, Roskomnadzor documented 180 cases of non-compliance with labeling requirements by “foreign agents.” The courts have imposed fines exceeding 7.1 million rubles based on these violations.
Earlier in March, Evgeny Zaitsev, the head of Roskomnadzor’s control and supervision department for electronic communications, revealed that 13 individuals with this designation are currently under criminal investigation.
