Even before Cyberpunk 2077’s official release, CD Projekt RED had plans for a massive online mode in the game. However, a dedicated enthusiast known as CyberMP took it upon themselves to create a full multiplayer experience for up to 18 players in Cyberpunk 2077.
CyberMP has been working on this ambitious mod for about a year, aiming to bring a complete multiplayer mode to the game. Players can now explore the open world, tackle missions together, and engage in cooperative events thanks to this mod. Alpha testing has already shown promising results, allowing players to interact in the game’s expansive world.
Although still in the pre-alpha stage, the mod features a 2v2 Deathmatch Mode, showcasing the progress made by the enthusiast. While there is still work to be done, the potential for a fully functional multiplayer mode in Cyberpunk 2077 is exciting. The release date remains uncertain as the author continues to optimize and refine the network component.
