Revolutionary Lunar Rovers in the Running to Accompany NASA’s Artemis V Mission to the Moon


Three companies have been selected by NASA to develop lunar terrain vehicles⁣ (LTV) for the upcoming Artemis missions. Intuitive Machines, Lunar Outpost, and Venturi Astrolab will each work on their own vehicle in⁤ a feasibility study.‌ Following this, one vehicle will be chosen for a demonstration mission to the moon ⁢for testing. The ‌LTV ‍will ⁤be utilized by the Artemis V crew set to launch ‍in 2030.

The LTV must be versatile, serving as both a crewed and uncrewed vehicle for astronauts and‌ exploration purposes. NASA plans to contract ‌the selected vehicle for lunar services until 2039, with potential task orders…
