A group of innovative and creative game preservationists⁤ have successfully reverse-engineered a previously ‍lost F-Zero game from the mid-90s. According to Eurogamer, faithful recreations of two BS F-Zero Grand Prix games, originally broadcast exclusively for Nintendo’s now-defunct Satellaview satellite gaming‌ extension for the ​Super Famicom, ‍are now accessible as free add-ons for the original ROMs.

The two BS F-Zero Grand Prix games, which introduced 10 new courses, ⁢four additional vehicles, and⁣ a ghosting feature‌ not available in‍ the original SNES/Super Famicom version, were exclusively broadcast for Nintendo’s Satellaview in 1996⁤ and 1997. The Satellaview was an experimental satellite module for the Super Famicom in Japan, never released in the US‌ or ‌anywhere else globally.
