Ford is making EV charging more convenient by offering a complimentary home charger. If you purchase or lease a retail Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit between October 1 and January 2, Ford will provide free installation by a technician. The program may be extended based on its success. Commercial customers will receive a cash incentive for commercial charging.
The Wall Street Journal’s Joanna Stern reports that participants will receive a Level 2 charger for their home. This offer saves buyers and lessees money as the Ford Charge Station Pro costs $1,310 with an additional $2,000 for installation. The charger includes 80 feet of wire and can deliver up to 60 amps of power. However, customers must ensure their garage is properly wired for Level 2 charging.
