Do you remember when live audio took the internet by storm during the COVID-19 pandemic? It all started with Clubhouse and soon every other platform followed suit. It was a strange time when we were all stuck at home, looking for entertainment in hours-long streams of strangers chatting.
Now, LinkedIn, a bit late to the live audio trend in 2022, has decided to do away with its standalone live audio events. Starting next month, native audio events will no longer be supported. New events cannot be created after December 2, and any previously scheduled events will cease to function after December 31. Instead, LinkedIn is merging audio events with its live-streaming feature called LinkedIn Live.
