According to sources speaking with Bloomberg, some Amazon employees will be required to relocate in order to comply with the company’s policy of three days per week of in-office work. This includes workers hired for remote positions and those who moved during the peak of the pandemic.
Remote Amazon workers will need to report to “main hub“ offices, such as the company headquarters in Seattle, New York, and San Francisco (and possibly other locations), as reported by The Wall Street Journal. However, the decision on who needs to relocate and where will be made on a departmental basis. The company has not yet determined the number of employees that will be affected.
