It’s looking like the Premium tier of Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service will be added the classic PSP game Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror at some point in the very near future. PlayStation Plus subscribers have three different tiers to choose from ever since Sony revamped the service last year, with the priciest tier being PS Plus Premium.
PS Plus Premium is the most expensive tier of PlayStation Plus, but it gives subscribers a lot of bang for their buck. Anyone signed up for PS Plus Premium can claim the monthly free PS Plus games that come with the Essential tier, and they have access to all the games available to play through PS Plus Extra as well. Not only does PS Plus Premium come with all the benefits of PS Plus Essential and Extra, but it also features a growing library of classic PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 games.
The PS Plus Premium PSP offerings have been criticized since the service launched, with many fans disappointed with how slowly PSP games have been added to the service. On the bright side, there is now evidence to suggest that one of the best PSP games will finally be coming to PS Plus Premium. PlayStation trophies for Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror have been discovered, indicating that the classic PSP game will be joining the PS Plus premium lineup at some point in the very near future.
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror originally released as a PSP exclusive in 2006, but was eventually ported to the PlayStation 2 as well. The fifth game in the Syphon Filter franchise, Dark Mirror is often pointed to as one of the best games in the entire series. It earned a great deal of acclaim at the time of its original release and managed to become the 13th highest-rated PSP game in the process.
Of course, there were two Syphon Filter games released for the PSP. Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow wasn’t quite as well-received as Dark Mirror, but it is still one of the highest-rated PSP games and would also make a fine addition to the lineup. As for when Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror will join PS Plus Premium, that remains to be seen, but it could happen any month now.

For Playstation Plus subscribers, the next premium offering could be one of the best PsP games ever made.
The PsP, or Playstation Portable, was launched in 2004, offering a powerful handheld gaming system with a library of games backed by Sony. It was particularly noted for its graphics, innovation, and design. Although the PsP was ultimately replaced by newer hand-helds and consoles, it still has a dedicated following, in part due to its lineup of classic, much-loved games.
One game in particular, Daxter, has been recognized as one of the all-time greatest PsP titles, and Sony has announced that it will be offering it as a premium addition to its Playstation Plus subscription service. This classic action-adventure game has you take control of Daxter, an acrobatic bug exterminator, as he skips, jumps, and battles his way around an expansive world of strange monsters and towering robots.
Daxter features an array of iconic characters, thrilling set pieces, and engrossing puzzles, as well as numerous mini-games and bonus missions. The game seamlessly blends classic platforming action with the devilish charm and personality that made the PsP such a great handheld platform. Thus, it remains one of the PsP’s defining games, and is perfect for Playstation Plus subscribers.
In conclusion, the addition of Daxter to the Playstation Plus family is a hugely exciting prospect, and could be one of the best offerings ever on the service. With its innovative design, classic characters and story, and thrilling gameplay, it remains a beloved title to many PsP gamers, and its arrival on the Plus service is sure to be welcomed.
