Thousands gather for Anzac Day marches⁣ in​ Sydney and Melbourne

Anzac Day marches in⁢ Sydney and Melbourne drew thousands of spectators, honoring current⁢ and former Australian Defense Force members and veterans.

The streets of Sydney’s⁤ CBD were lined with people watching the march, which included veterans from various conflicts marching ‍proudly down the city’s main thoroughfare.

In⁣ Melbourne, a diverse group of participants, ⁣including active military personnel, government⁤ officials, and veterans, marched towards the Shrine of Remembrance to commemorate Australia’s war efforts.

The parade included veterans from Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, East Timor, and the Solomon⁢ Islands, with peacekeeping operation veterans leading the march‌ for the first time this year.

The ​parade route ⁤extended from Princes Bridge to the Shrine, covering‍ a significant part of Melbourne’s CBD.
