The Moscow ⁤Academic Satire Theater is undergoing a change ‌in leadership as Igor Berlin steps⁢ down from his position, as reported by​ RBC through the institution’s press service. Pavel Nestratov, the current director of the Moscow State Musical Theater of Plastic Ballet ​”New ‌Ballet,” will take ​over the role.

Alexey Fursin, the head of ⁤the Moscow Department of ​Culture,‌ mentioned to TASS that there are discussions about potential collaboration with Berlin in a different role.

In a⁣ recent announcement, the Moscow Department of Culture revealed⁣ that the new artistic director of the Satire Theater will‍ be Yevgeny Gerasimov, a​ People’s Artist of Russia and deputy of the Moscow ⁢City Duma. Gerasimov aims to steer the‍ theater back to its original essence, focusing on the performances that ‌defined its unique style.

Furthermore, Vladimir Mashkov has assumed⁢ the directorship of the “Sovremennik” Theater, while Konstantin Bogomolov has been named the artistic director of the Vakhtangov Theater.
