Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has presented a new lineup of the government to the State Duma of the Russian Federation for review, as reported on the department’s official website.
The revised government lineup does not include Andrey Belousov and Victoria Abramchenko, who previously held the positions of first deputy prime minister and deputy prime minister. Both individuals are transitioning to new roles.
Assuming the role of first deputy prime minister is former Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.
Meanwhile, the position of deputy prime minister will be filled by Dmitry Patrushev, former Minister of Agriculture and son of the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev. Patrushev will be taking over from Victoria Abramchenko. Sources revealed to RBC earlier that Patrushev will be responsible for the areas previously overseen by Abramchenko, who did not return to the government this time. Abramchenko, who managed various sectors including the national project “Ecology”, agriculture, agro-industrial complex, Russian winemaking, and socio-economic development of the Siberian Federal District, expressed her willingness to serve the country if given the opportunity again.
Other deputy prime ministers in the government include Vitaly Savelyev, Alexander Novak, Dmitry Grigorenko, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Tatiana Golikova, Alexei Overchuk, Yuri Trutnev, and Marat Khusnullin.
