Meta Quest users will now have the ability to write reports, edit spreadsheets, and create presentations — if they choose to do so on a VR headset. Android Central reports that the original Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and the latest model, Meta Quest 3, now support the basic Microsoft Office suite. Users can download Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for free from the Meta Quest store.
During its Connect 2022 event, the company announced that it would launch Microsoft 365 app experiences for its headsets. It also promised users access to Outlook, Teams, and a Windows experience through its partnership with Microsoft. To use the basic Office suite apps on their device, users must have and log into their Microsoft account. The app files are small because they run on the cloud, making them quick to download and allowing for multitasking.
