THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive regularly release new concept art for the “Gothic” remake. It has been a few weeks since the last release, which featured a skeleton mage, so it’s time for something different.
However, this time they are showcasing a frame from the Old Camp, rather than a monster. The screenshot shows a couple of diggers roasting what appears to be a snapper on a spit. The member of the Brotherhood of Sleep is watching them and <a href="https://news.ad-astra.icu/life-of-old-camp-inhabitants-showcased-in-atmospheric-screenshot-of-gothic-remake.html” title=”Life of Old Camp inhabitants showcased in atmospheric screenshot of "Gothic" remake”>smoking swamp weed. The digger in the background is possibly Diego, who is patiently waiting to embark on one of his numerous adventures with the Nameless.
It must be noted that the atmosphere is quite captivating. Additionally, there are some minor changes in the design of the Old Camp visible in the screenshot. However, these changes are so subtle that it is impossible to mistake this location for any other. The improved color palette of the game is also noticeable – the use of more shades of brown creates a stronger connection to the “dusty” original compared to the teaser of the Old Camp presented in December 2022.
Presumably, we will receive more information about the remake this Friday. This is because the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase will take place on that day.
