Lawyer seeks justice after being targeted in TV channel harassment scandal on “Volgograd-1” – taking action against Investigative Committee’s inaction

Attorney Ruslan Nurushev has taken action by filing a⁣ complaint with the prosecutor’s office of the Central district of Volgograd. He alleges that ‌investigators have neglected to properly investigate a crime involving journalist Sergey Mazanov and former‌ deputy Roman Potolovsky, as reported by SotaVision. ‍The incident occurred in March when‍ Mazanov⁣ and Potolovsky disclosed personal information of Nurushev and other Volgograd residents on the TV channel “Volgograd-1”, who were paying⁣ their respects at the⁤ monument to⁤ the victims of political repression in honor of Alexei Navalny.

Nurushev claims that Mazanov and Potolovsky violated‌ privacy laws and he submitted a formal complaint to the regional office of the Investigative Committee of⁣ the Russian‌ Federation⁤ on April 16. However, on May 18, he received a response stating that the case had been transferred from criminal to administrative ⁣proceedings by the Investigative ‍Committee of the Central district of Volgograd. Despite this decision, Nurushev insists that the disclosure ⁤of his⁣ personal information constitutes a criminal offense⁢ and should be thoroughly ‍investigated.

In an interview with SotaVision, Nurushev expressed his frustration with the investigative department’s handling⁢ of the case, emphasizing that his personal information was unlawfully obtained and shared on television by Mazanov and Potolovsky. He believes that this act should not be dismissed lightly and hopes that the ⁤Investigative Committee will take appropriate action.

Meanwhile, the hosts of “Volgograd 1” have dismissed the⁢ video in question as a fake. The situation‌ continues to unfold, with further developments⁣ expected in the⁤ near future.
