According to reports from Android Central, Sony is scaling back its investment in projects for PlayStation VR2.
Since its launch, the VR headset has faced challenges, partly due to its high price of $550. With low pre-orders and production on hold to clear existing stock, the future of PS VR2 seems uncertain.
Android Central suggests that the headset’s appeal may dwindle further as Sony focuses on just two exclusive games for VR2, with funding for VR projects being reduced.
In 2023, only three games were released for PS VR2, and no new projects have been announced. While an adapter for PC connectivity has been mentioned, its ability to fully support the device remains in question.
