Google is facing an antitrust compliance review in India following a complaint from Match Group and a group of Indian startups. The complaint, made with the Alliance of Digital India Foundation, requests that the Competition Commission of India investigate Google’s User Choice Billing system. Match argues that the system still imposes a high “service fee” between 11 and 26 percent on app developers, which means Google has not complied with the regulatory order that mandates it to support third-party billing options. The CCI is the same regulatory body that last year barred Google from requiring OEMs to bundle first-party Google apps and services with Android.
