An Israeli military official has stated that the use of inappropriate munitions during the attack on Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza resulted in a high death toll. This sheds light on Israel’s military tactics, which have led to a significant number of civilian casualties.
During an interview with the Israeli public broadcaster Kan, the military official emphasized that the munitions used in the raid on Maghazi, which claimed the lives of at least 70 people, were not suitable for a densely populated refugee camp.
According to the official, “The type of munition used did not match the nature of the attack, causing extensive collateral damage that could have been avoided.” The official also expressed regret for the harm caused to innocent individuals and stated that the Israeli army is actively working to learn from this incident.
