Arrowhead Game Studios has officially addressed the issues encountered with the PC release of Helldivers 2. Studio director Mikael Erixon announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that a patch has been released for the game, starting with PC and then PS5.
We have created a patch and will be testing it with players to ensure its effectiveness. If all goes well, we will release a hotfix, first for the Steam community, and then for PS5 players as soon as possible.
The PC release of Helldivers 2 has faced criticism from gamers, with “mixed” reviews on Steam. While the gameplay is praised, issues with matchmaking and significant bugs have led to negative feedback.
Despite the mixed reviews, the PC launch of Helldivers 2 has been successful, with over 62,000 simultaneous players on Steam. It has also achieved a record number of concurrent players, making it Sony’s best release on PC.
Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PS5, with plans for updates including new enemies, biomes, objectives, and a free story update.
