Niantic is keeping the excitement alive for Pokémon GO with the upcoming Kleavor raid event on May 6th. The Axe Pokémon will be available for a limited time during a special Raid Day event. While players can catch it after the event, their best chance is during a three-hour window starting at 11:00 am local time on May 6th, when Kleavor will enter the pool of three-star raid bosses for players to challenge.
To defeat Kleavor, players should use teams of Pokémon with Rock-, Steel-, and Water-type attacks. Good use of attack rotations on high-level Pokémon will quickly wear down Kleavor’s health, allowing trainers to get the encounter reward and move on to the next raid. The event is helping trainers out by rewarding up to five additional Raid Passes from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time and raising the Remote Raid Pass limit to 10 for the entirety of May 6th.
While Kleavor is currently a raid exclusive, it is unlikely to stay that way. However, even after being added to the wild, the Raid Event is still the best chance for trainers to get Kleavor and Shiny Kleavor in Pokémon GO.
Exclusive Pokémon is nothing new to Pokémon GO, with Raid exclusives like Kyogre and Groundon. However, all Raid exclusive Pokémon are Legendaries, usually during time-limited events. Mawile and Absol are the only exceptions, which can now be found in the wild.
