By 2030, the U.S. chips industry is expected to face a⁤ deficit of 67,000 technicians, computer scientists, and engineers, while the‌ broader U.S.⁢ economy could experience a shortage‍ of 1.4 million⁣ such professionals, as reported in a 2023 study by the Semiconductor Industry Association.
