Multiple airlines​ had ‍to ​stop their flights on Friday, with others cautioning⁤ passengers about delays and service ⁢interruptions as ⁤an extraordinary IT outage affected operations worldwide.

At the start of Friday, cybersecurity leader CrowdStrike encountered a significant disruption related to⁢ a technology update. ‍Various organizations, including Microsoft, were in a rush ​to⁢ fix applications and services ​utilized ⁤by numerous companies.

Flight information ⁤screens at⁢ airports globally showed the ⁤infamous​ “blue ‍screen of death,” signaling a Microsoft system‍ error.
