Crystal Dynamics has unveiled a fresh new look for Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider installment.
The beloved action-adventure series has been in a state of hiatus since 2018, with fans eagerly awaiting news of the next game. Despite recent layoffs at the studio, developers at Crystal Dynamics are hard at work on the game and have now revealed an updated portrayal of the iconic heroine.
On the official Tomb Raider website, Crystal Dynamics released new artwork featuring Lara Croft in her classic short shorts and armed with her signature pistols.
The developers have described this new portrayal as a “unified” view of Lara Croft, suggesting that this may be the canonical image of the character for the next installment of the game, which is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5.
