Cooper advised the Space Force must be extra just like the National Reconnaissance Office, which oversees authorities house satellites and offers satellite tv for pc intelligence to a number of US businesses.

“The NRO has really executed a fairly wonderful job,” Cooper stated. “They’re not as well-known as another businesses. … But I had a latest side-by-side briefing with the NRO and Space Force. My conclusion after that briefing was: thank God for the NRO. I anxiously await the day that I can say the identical concerning the Space Force.”

When requested to reply, Gen. Thompson stated, “As Congressman Cooper famous, each time we meet, Congressman Cooper asks what he can proceed to do to assist, and my request of him is at all times the identical: proceed to be our strongest supporter and our hardest critic, and I can say this morning he continues to carry out successfully in each of these roles,” to which the room erupted in laughter.
