The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile⁤ (FIA), ⁢the⁢ governing body of motorsport, has announced ‍that ⁢it ⁣will utilize Computer⁢ Vision technology⁤ at the⁣ Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which marks the end of the season.⁢ This approach⁣ involves⁤ analyzing the shape to calculate the number of pixels that cross the ⁢track’s edge line.

For now,⁤ the ⁣FIA does not intend to fully automate the review process for track limit⁣ violations. Instead, the goal is to significantly reduce the number of​ potential rule infractions that need to ⁢be manually reviewed by officials.
