Former Wagner Private Military Company Members Apprehended by Security Forces

Law enforcement authorities in the Oryol region have apprehended four individuals belonging to a criminal syndicate engaged in extortion. These individuals entered the ​region in ⁣May 2023⁢ and are ‌facing charges ⁤related to 8 criminal incidents.​ The operation was a collaborative⁢ effort involving the FSB, police, and Rosgvardia,⁣ resulting in the swift incarceration of all suspects. The Ministry of Internal⁢ Affairs of the Oryol region confirmed this development through its press release.

The​ press release details various instances of extortion perpetrated by the criminal group. For instance, in ​2023, they coerced a local resident into paying 55 thousand rubles, threatening him with ⁤a gun to sign over his Audi A6 car as payment.‌ Subsequently, the vehicle was sold off. Additionally, the criminals forcibly took an expensive⁤ mobile phone from another Oryol resident using weapons like knives, axes, and guns. The victims were reportedly associated ‌with illicit drug trade. The⁤ FSB disclosed that the criminals unlawfully ‍acquired three apartments, five vehicles, ⁤and a substantial amount of cash​ and valuables totaling over 10 million rubles. Presently, all suspects are in custody.

According to the ⁣Telegram channel Baza, three former members⁢ of the Wagner Private Military ⁣Company were implicated in the ⁤criminal organization. On the same​ day, news emerged that the Moscow Military Court acquitted members of the “ENOT” Private ​Military Company accused of forming ‌a criminal syndicate.
