Football Manager to include women’s soccer teams starting in 2024


Sports Interactive announced in 2021 that it would include women’s soccer in Football Manager, its long-standing simulation franchise. Now, we have a clearer understanding of when this will occur. In a blog post discussing the future of the franchise, SI stated that women’s teams will be introduced in Football Manager 2025, which will be released next year.

Initially, the studio mentioned that it would take some time to incorporate women’s soccer in order to provide the same level of depth as it does for the men’s game. Football Manager boasts an extensive database of tens of thousands of players, each with their own individual statistics, biographies, injury histories, and more. Additionally, SI had to consider changes to attribute systems, gender-related considerations for translations, and different league regulations specific to women’s football.
