Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on Ubisoft’s subscription service, Ubisoft+, from launch, but for those who wish to purchase the game, there’s a decent amount of bonus content on offer. The latest entry in the long-running franchise is set to return the series to its roots, both in terms of its Middle-Eastern location and its stealth-based gameplay.
From the footage revealed so far, Assassin’s Creed Mirage seems to be telling a more contained story set in Baghdad after the series’ previous entries featured RPG elements and massive maps. The title tells the origin story of Master Assassin, Basim Ibn Ishaq – who players know from the franchise’s previous entries Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Rebellion – as he targets four targets from the Order of the Ancients to assassinate using an array of Hitman-esque opportunistic kills.
While Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s standard edition may only come with the base game, there is a perk for those who preorder the game: The Forty Thieves Quest. Little has been revealed about the preorder quest’s story, other than the fact it will follow Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s main protagonist Basim Ibn Ishaq as he investigates the legend of the titular forty thieves.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Deluxe Edition includes a variety of digital content. The Deluxe Pack includes skins for Basim, his eagle, and his mount, alongside some new weapons that tie into another Ubisoft franchise: Prince of Persia. Accompanying the in-game content is a digital artbook and the game’s official soundtrack by Brendan Angelides. This will be Angelides’ first foray into the world of video game composition, having previously worked on TV shows such as Billions and 13 Reasons Why, however, Ubisoft has previously indicated that his score will be a truly unique fusion of Western music with Arabic elements.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Collector’s Case Edition for $149.99 includes all the digital content from the previous versions, but comes with a wealth of physical perks. This physical content includes an impressive 32cm-tall figurine of Basim perched atop some Middle-Eastern architecture, and an exclusive Steelbook case – although it’s worth noting that while the set initially seems to show a physical copy of Mirage’s Deluxe Edition, there is a note below the Steelbook stating that there is no disc included. There is, however, a physical copy of selected tracks from the game’s soundtrack, a physical mini-artbook, a physical replica of the in-game map of Baghdad, and a collectible replica of Basim’s brooch.
