Meta’s Threads app is often seen as a rival to X, but users note it’s not the best for real-time updates. The algorithm sometimes shows old posts with new ones, and the trending topics feature is limited. However, a new search feature test brings hope for real-time info.
Users can now filter results by recency, as seen in a screenshot shared by Daniel Rodriguez. Adam Mosseri, Threads’ top exec, confirmed the test. “We’re testing this with a small group to improve real-time search results,” Mosseri stated.
While it may seem like a small change, the addition of a chronological search feature could greatly enhance the app’s usability for real-time updates.
