Disney has surprised everyone with a new announcement. Unlike the usual practice of announcing Star Wars movies and shows years in advance, the company has revealed a new TV program that will debut next month. Tales of the Empire is an animated show created by Dave Filoni, known for his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, as well as live action projects like Ahsoka.
As the title suggests, this series is a companion to 2022’s Tales of the Jedi. It’s an anthology series that focuses on various characters within the empire as they strive to defeat the rebels and establish order in the galaxy. The show will feature popular dark side characters such as Grand Admiral Thrawn, General Grievous, and the Grand Inquisitor.
