Assassin’s Creed II is set to mark its remarkable 15th anniversary this year, and yet, new mods aimed at enhancing the game’s graphics and gameplay continue to emerge.
Recently, users HenryPDT, RandomCOG, and Petrichor23 unveiled a mod that brings significant improvements to the parkour system in the game. This modification eliminates several restrictions on player actions that were previously deemed “dangerous” by the developers, while also introducing unique animations for character movements over obstacles.
Moreover, the mod introduces a parkour system akin to that of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, known as the ”parkour forward/parkour downward” system. This allows players to have more precise control over Ezio’s movements during jumps, especially when faced with multiple options for their next move. In the original game, the player was limited to the game’s choice of the farthest jump, without the ability to select a different direction. The mod creators have even shared a video showcasing the disparity between the modified parkour system and the original one in the game.
