Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is rebranding HBO Max to Max in Europe, integrating Discovery+ content and live sports. Max will debut in the Nordics, Iberia, and central and eastern Europe on May 21, followed by Poland, the Netherlands, France, and Belgium. Interestingly, the streaming service will retain the HBO Max name in the Netherlands and Belgium, despite the inclusion of Discovery and sports content.
This marks the first availability of WBD’s streaming service in France and Belgium, expanding its reach after two years. Max will soon be accessible in 25 European countries and 65 countries and territories globally, positioning itself as a competitor to Netflix’s global presence.
