Amidst anticipation for the announcement of the Red Dead Redemption remaster, technical industry experts at Digital Foundry conducted tests of Red Dead Redemption in 4K and 60fps on PC using emulators.
Despite the limitations of emulating Xbox 360 on PC, the unofficial RDR remaster delivers an incredibly immersive and “current” gaming experience on the screen. It offers higher levels of detail in settings, particle effects, and lighting. According to DF’s tests, the increased frame rate ensures better responsiveness of control elements, resulting in a more engaging gameplay experience.
Therefore, Digital Foundry is hopeful for an official remaster that will provide an even smoother, visually pleasing, and technologically advanced gameplay experience.
