A multitude of individuals have marched through various regions, including the occupied West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran, to express their outrage over the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
The 62-year-old was killed in Tehran in what Hamas has labeled as a “treacherous Zionist attack on his home.” Israel has neither confirmed nor denied any involvement in the incident.
Haniyeh had traveled to Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of Iran will preside over the funeral prayers for Haniyeh at Tehran University before the procession moves to Azadi (Freedom) Square. The final resting place for Haniyeh will be in Doha, Qatar.
