PM shares first images from Kokoda Track as he embarks on two-day walk
The prime minister has shared his initial photos from the Kokoda track, where he will be walking over two days with Papua New Guinea’s prime minister James Marape.
Anthony Albanese stated:
We are able to walk the Kokoda Track today in freedom thanks to those who fought to preserve it. The courage of those who sacrificed everything here is remembered in our nation’s history.
Australians, Papuans, and New Guineans fought side by side in this terrain. Together, we pay tribute to them.
