Imagendary Studios, a game development team led by the talented former Blizzard artist Wei Van, has unveiled Astropulse: Reincarnation, a fresh single-player sci-fi shooter and third-person RPG set in a futuristic Earth ravaged by war, all within a vast transmedia universe.
The narrative behind Astropulse is a grand science fiction tale that spans eons, exploring the consequences of a mysterious cosmic force called Astropulse that arrived on Earth via a meteorite 250 million years ago. This energy drastically altered the planet’s evolution, leading to a global catastrophe that reshaped human civilization. In this shattered world, new species and societies emerge, entangled in a complex struggle for survival against otherworldly beings. Within this post-apocalyptic realm, a young man and his steadfast companions embark on a journey to defy their seemingly inevitable tragic destiny.
In addition to the game, Van and the Imagendary team have ambitious plans to expand the Astropulse universe through short films, comics, and graphic novels.
Astropulse: Reincarnation is being developed using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5 platform, promising an immersive gaming experience. Stay tuned for more updates as development progresses.
