The EU has its eye on how Apple conducts itself within the music streaming enterprise.

Apple will going through further antitrust expenses from the European Commission within the coming weeks, in line with a Monday report from Reuters. This is alleged to return attributable to a music streaming investigation triggered by a grievance from Spotify.
The additional expenses come a yr after the EU accused Apple of breaching competitors legislation within the music streaming market via restrictive App Store guidelines.
At the time, the EU’s accusation outlined issues from a 2019 grievance made by Spotify concerning Apple’s coverage for managing in-app funds. The grievance addressed how Apple expenses Spotify and different subscription-based corporations a 30% charge for in-app purchases, which, Spotify argued, was stifling competitors for corporations that compete with Apple Music.
The fee now intends to set out additional antitrust expenses in a supplementary assertion of objections, in line with Reuters, one thing that is usually issued when an EU competitors enforcer has modified a portion of its case or discovered new proof.
Apple did not instantly reply to a request for remark.
