Amazon warehouse hit by twister, 2 confirmed lifeless, report says

At least two individuals have been reportedly confirmed lifeless at an Amazon warehouse close to St. Louis, after a success from a twister Friday evening prompted a part of the constructing to break down.

Three individuals have been rescued from the constructing, with one being despatched to the hospital, The New York Times reported Saturday, citing the hearth division in Edwardsville, Illinois. Police there stated 30 employees safely made it out of the constructing on their very own and that about 50 individuals had been within the construction, the Times reported.

The 2-year-old concrete and metal constructing is in a distribution hub on the west facet of Edwardsville with about 20 warehouses, the Times stated. It suffered a direct hit from the twister, the paper stated, with the Associated Press reporting {that a} wall the dimensions of a soccer area collapsed together with the roof above it.
