Nintendo is set to release a sequel to 1-2 Switch, its popular party game featuring a variety of mini-games, on June 30th. The new game, called Everybody 1-2-Switch!, allows players to participate in some of the games without using Joy-Cons, as long as they have a compatible smartphone. The original 1-2 Switch included 28 mini-games designed to liven up gatherings, with some being quirky, such as putting a crying baby to sleep, and others being more fun, like pretending to walk down a runway or milking a cow.
Reports from last year suggest that Nintendo has been working on the sequel for some time, but testing groups were critical of the game. Families with children, who are a key audience for the game’s multiplayer feature, reportedly found the mini-games dull.
