A Congressional subcommittee is scheduled to hold a hearing into UFOs, also known as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The panel will listen to “firsthand accounts” of UAP and evaluate the federal government‘s transparency and accountability regarding potential threats to national security. The hearing, conducted by the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border and Foreign Affairs, will also address the need for legislation to promote transparency in UAPs. The subcommittee aims to compel the federal government to provide US residents with information about potential risks to public safety and national security. Representative Tim Burchett stated, “The Pentagon and Washington bureaucrats have concealed this information for decades, and we are finally going to shed some light on it.”
