Sony has unveiled more details about the PlayStation Portal remote player, a dedicated remote play device for the PlayStation 5. This handheld device resembles a tablet sandwiched between two halves of a DualSense controller. It allows users to stream games from their PS5 console, enabling them to play remotely via WiFi when the TV is in use or when they are in a different room or traveling. The PlayStation Portal remote player features an eight-inch LCD screen that delivers 1080p visuals at 60 frames per second. It also incorporates DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Additionally, it includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, but lacks Bluetooth functionality, requiring users to either use Sony’s new earbuds or headphones or connect a wired headset.
