In a vast global survey, over 40% of workers expressed concerns about the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in their workplaces.
ADP conducted a survey with nearly 35,000 workers across 18 countries to delve into the challenges and technological advancements shaping the job market. The primary worry highlighted was AI, with 42% of respondents viewing it as a threat to their jobs.
ADP’s analysis of the data focused on the shifting priorities, expectations, and sentiments of workers, particularly regarding job security and the impact of AI implementation in the workplace. These insights are detailed in ADP’s latest annual report, “People At Work 2024: A Global Workforce View.”
The survey revealed that 85% of workers anticipate AI affecting their jobs within the next two to three years. Among those who believe AI will be beneficial daily, 70% feel equipped with the necessary skills to advance their careers. Conversely, only 45% of those who anticipate AI replacing their current tasks believe they have the required skills.
