In a vast global⁣ survey, over 40% of workers expressed concerns about the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in their workplaces.

ADP conducted a survey with nearly‍ 35,000 workers across 18⁤ countries to delve into ⁣the challenges and technological advancements shaping the job market. The primary worry highlighted⁣ was AI, with 42% of respondents⁢ viewing it as⁢ a threat to their jobs.

ADP’s analysis of the data focused‌ on the shifting priorities, expectations, and sentiments of workers,​ particularly regarding job security and the impact of AI implementation in ​the workplace. These insights are detailed in ADP’s latest annual report, “People At Work 2024: A Global‌ Workforce View.”

The ‌survey revealed that 85%⁣ of workers anticipate ‌AI affecting their jobs within the next two to three years. ⁢Among ‍those who believe AI will be beneficial daily, 70% feel equipped with the necessary skills to advance their careers. Conversely, ⁤only 45% of those who anticipate AI replacing their current tasks believe they have​ the⁢ required ⁤skills.

While workers still​ prioritize financial compensation and ⁢job security, they feel besieged by technology, stress, and evolving workplace⁣ dynamics. ADP’s report this year focuses on the transition from a pandemic-stricken economy to‌ a⁤ post-pandemic world.

Although ​overall job security⁤ sentiment has improved compared⁣ to‍ a year ago, the growing presence of AI is ‍now a ‍significant concern among workers.
