WhatsApp is suing the Indian authorities over new digital guidelines that may drive the messaging service to violate privateness protections.
It stated guidelines that require tracing the origin of chats have been the equal of retaining a “fingerprint of each single message despatched on the service”.
In February, the federal government launched new tips to manage content material on social media and streaming platforms.
India is WhatsApp’s largest market with about 400 million customers.
