Reports from Glushkovo, Kursk region indicate that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully destroyed a crucial bridge over the River Seim. This development was confirmed by Roman Alyokhin, advisor to the acting governor of Kursk.
Alyokhin highlighted that evacuation efforts are underway in Glushkovsky district, emphasizing the critical importance of the remaining two bridges in the area.
“The enemy’s strategic move to seize control of Glushkovsky district along the Seim River is now in motion,” Alyokhin stated.
Glushkovsky district is home to three key bridges spanning the Seim River near Glushkovo, Zvannoye, and Karyzh. The targeted strikes on these bridges suggest a tactical offensive by Ukrainian Armed Forces operating towards Vnezapno – Snagost – Korenevo axis.
Furthermore, reports indicate that Ukrainian forces have also targeted a bridge in Zvannoye village within Glushkovsky district.
Renowned war correspondent Yuri Kotenok suggested that this strike may have been executed using HIMARS artillery systems.
An account from Telegram channel “Romanov Light” detailed how a HIMARS MLRS strike by Ukrainian forces resulted in casualties among volunteer groups near the bridge site.
Mash, a pro-Kremlin Telegram channel, corroborated reports of Ukrainian Armed Forces destroying a bridge over Seim River in Kursk region and shared images capturing its destruction.
