In recent developments reported by The Guardian newspaper from the UK, Israel’s military spokesperson Itzik Cohen declared that displaced individuals would not be allowed to return to their homes in northern Gaza. Additionally, Cohen mentioned that aid deliveries would only be permitted in southern Gaza.
Despite attempts by Israeli officials to distance themselves from these statements later on, various organizations believe Israel is executing a controversial strategy known as the “General’s Plan.” This approach suggests forcibly evacuating the entire population from northern Gaza and labeling those who remain as enemy combatants.
The Israeli army has not responded to Al Jazeera’s request for comments at this time.
