The long-awaited sequel to Ninja Theory’s Hellblade finally has a release date: May 21, 2024. It’s been over four years since the announcement of Senua’s Saga at the 2019 Game Awards, and fans have been eagerly anticipating its arrival alongside the next-gen Xbox Series X console from Microsoft.
Senua’s Sacrifice, the first game in the series, delved into the protagonist’s journey to the realm of the dead and her struggles with mental health. In Saga, Senua will embark on a new adventure through Iceland to seek out the Vikings who have been raiding her hometown. Ninja Theory promises “perception puzzles led by her experiences of psychosis,” a hallmark of the first game, along with traditional video game combat set in the stunning landscapes of Iceland.
As a first-party title, Senua’s Saga will be available on Microsoft’s Game Pass service for Xbox consoles and PC on its release day. For non-Game Pass subscribers, it will be offered as a digital-only release at a price of $50. PC users will have the option to purchase it from the Xbox store.
