In the vibrant⁢ city of Mong ‌Kok, Hong Kong, Divina*, a domestic worker, stumbled upon an enticing opportunity to work in Poland after just a brief online search.

Soon after, Divina found herself in a two-hour orientation session on the 17th floor of a building, where she was presented with a range of work opportunities, from hotels to⁣ a chicken processing plant and a car parts factory.

According to‌ Divina, the agents’ extensive list of opportunities ⁤in Poland made it seem like they had strong connections in the⁤ country.

Divina took the leap and paid the recruiters 10,000 Hong Kong dollars ($1,279) to kickstart her application process for a job‍ in Europe.
